Planet Arkadia Underground Deed FAQ

Where is the Underground deed broker?

The underground deed broker is located in the underground land area on Arkadia close to the arrival Teleporter.(13479 21770)

How do I get to the underground?

You can travel to the underground using any Teleporter on Arkadia. On the top of the teleport map is a dropdown list showing your current location. Click on the dropdown list and select Arkadia Underground from the list and then select the underground Teleporter.

How do I buy Deeds from the broker?

In order to buy the Arkadia underground deeds you have to transfer the PEDs out of your PED card into your inventory before interacting with the broker.
When buying the deed from the broker a new window will open where the PED can be placed in to complete the transaction. 

I clicked the broker and he has no deeds available, what do I do now?

The broker is being constantly resupplied with deeds in order to ensure a fair opportunity for multiple players to acquire a deed.

How do I deposit funds to my account?

Funds can be deposited using the EU Transfer Center. The EU transfer Center can be accessed using the dedicated button on the top of the HUD on default Keymaps. If your Keymap has been changed the EU Transfer Center can be accessed by right clicking on the ground or by accessing it from the Action Library (Default key "Y")

Imperial Scout/Recon forces have located what appears to be a gigantic power plant beneath the Hadesheim Crater. Preliminary scans show relatively low radiation levels, meaning humans should be able to enter the tunnels without special equipment.

The existence of such powerful robot technology on Calypso soil is clearly a major threat to human settlements and suggests a much more alarming robot presence than previously acknowledged. Because of this, the Federal Empire has sent a unit of Earth Shock Troopers to investigate, under the command of Sgt. Quintana.

Quintana’s unit has established a link to the robot teleportation network, allowing access to this power core. At regular intervals, drives to enlist colonists in helping the EST obtain Data Storage Units from the power core will be held. Points will be awarded based on the number and quality of DSUs retrieved; colonists with the highest number of points will be rewarded appropriately by EST command for each recovery effort.

The temporary Earth Shock Trooper base on Calypso, along with Sgt. Quintana’s office, is located in Minopolis. The first DSU recovery effort will begin on Friday, March 28.

Where do I Enter?

The entrance to the Mayhem is located near the teleporter in Minopolis. Minopolis is located on the Eudoria continent, see the map to the right for precise location.

There are five instance levels to accommodate avatars of various profession levels. All of the instances are accessed by interacting with The Core teleporter inside the EST dropshop in Minopolis, and then selecting the instance level you wish to enter.

Scoring

The following point system has been created to track the retrieval of Robot Data Storage Units:

Rewards

Rules & Notes

This event is intended for solo hunters. Any attempt at abusing team mechanics or any other Entropia Universe systems or features in order to gain an unfair advantage over other participants will be grounds for disqualification from the event, forfeiture of any prizes, and possible sanctions imposed on one’s Entropia Universe account.

Do not abandon the mission! If you abandon the mission for any reason, either intentionally or accidentally, all points earned up to that point will be lost forever. Support cannot and will not restore points for abandoned missions, regardless of the situation.

Planet Cyrene


- Players who have completed the "Flagged... " quest line (which is started by having a Coat of the Proving Grounds) have their 1st reward unlocked: daily kill missions for Stalker Bots and Living Vortexs.

The Hub

- Players how have chosen to register Proving Ground Coat of Arms have their 1st reward unlocked: the Proving Grounds PvP Daily Kill MIssion.
- Rewards for Daily PvP Mission Tokens are now available:

Planet Cyrene

- All Marked weapons are now able to be put up on the auction house.
- The Turrelion Crystal Pedes have been adjusted in both stats and loot.
- Improved B.E. Shin Guards (Male) now correctly make Shin Guards and not Leg Guards.

The Hub


- It should be more difficult to escape the Proving Grounds.
- Reward Token (Lime Green) spawns in the Proving Grounds should now be more plentiful.


Known Issues

- P.I.G.V.s driven or attempted to be driven in 1st person view will cause the game to CTD, this item is being investigated by MindArk.
- The Dragonfly Helicopter can attach but not fire the MMB AS-41 weapon attachment, this is being looked into.
- Support weapons are not currently working properly, this is a platform issue.
- The Spear MK. III is difficult to maneuver, this is being looked into.
- The Spear destroyed model becomes invisible, this issue is being looked into.
- All Cyrene vehicles (P.I.G.V., Spear, Lancer, Dragonfly) have default sounds, this will be addressed in a future patch.
- Some Quality Ratings information in blueprint book: A.R.C. is incorrect, and this issue is still being looked into.

The boot-camp style arena known as “The Gauntlet” is now accessible from the Gauntlet Organizer NPC located in the Cape Corinth bar. This instance is intended for new participants, and a daily mission is available inside for those with a profession level no higher than 10.

Arkadia Underground Deeds

  • Arkadia Underground Deeds now available for sale.
  • The Deeds will no longer be listed in the auction and will only be on sale from the broker (Arkadia Underground Deed Broker) located close to the Underground teleporter (13479 21770).
  • Deeds will be added into the broker over time.

Treasure Map Missions

  • Treasure Map missions will become active soon, Please note that new missions are disabled by default and needs to be turned on manually. You can talk to Tom Tennant at the Moonshine Bar when activated for assistance.

Bug Fixes

  • Hidden Fortunes and Treasures custom shop Fortune Teller is now active
  • The IFN has concluded their investigation into the anomaly of the smuggler IFN Defence bots and eradicated the threat.
  • Fixed proxy issue with some of the pillars.
  • Various other small fixes and adjustments to the underground terrain.

David: Thanks to everyone for the positive feedback, the team have been working 6-7 days a week for 5 months to bring Arkadia Underground in on schedule. I'm personally extremely proud of my team for what they have achieved in such a short period of time.
We have been working closely with Mindark to develop this new form of shared ownership, so my thanks to the team at MA for their efforts to also get this done on schedule.

The Arkadian vaults are linked to the treasure maps, so as per the release notes they will become operational next week following the patch. For Medeina, don't worry about your map, more will become available after the patch.

Just a note regarding the Vaults. The Vaults are great for the Land Area because the ensure a constant flow of participants visiting the Underground, however they are not taxed and therefore don't contribute directly to tax revenue.

Regarding the release of the deeds, we will begin listing them on auction in batches today. We'll make every effort to ensure they are listed at different times of the day to ensure everyone has a chance to buy some.

Entropia Universe 14.6.1 Release Notes

The social interface is an important part of the Entropia Universe experience and is something that MindArk is continually striving to improve. Based on feedback from participants, we have made a number of adjustments and updates to the new Social UI that we hope will improve the usability of the new interface. Additional refinements and adjustments to the Social UI will be made in the upcoming platform releases and patches. We thank the EU community for all the valuable feedback received in support cases and on community forums.

Adjustments

  • Added shortcuts to chat /tr = trade, /t = team, /s = society, /o = society seniors, /ro = rookie
  • The Rookie channel is now available by default in a dedicated tab.
  • The Globals channel is now disabled in all chat tabs by default.
  • Added two additional larger font sizes for chat windows, which can be managed in the general client Options panel.
  • Adjusted text color selection to more primary colors with better contrast. White has also been added and is now used as the default color for the Local channel.
  • Drop shadow has been added to all text to enhance visibility.
  • “Me” has been replaced with the avatar’s chosen display name in the chat window.
  • Tabs no longer flash on new alerts, instead they will highlight only.
  • There is now an option for disabling the new alert tab highlighting in the context menu for each tab.
  • Changed position of ‘Yes/Okay’ and ‘No/Cancel’ in confirmation dialogues.
  • The ‘Send Reply’ button is now activated on mouse button release instead of mouse button press.
  • Disciple and Team icons in contacts are now more recognizable.
  • The filter in Contacts will now be maximized by default.
  • Avatar name links are now correctly displayed in Vehicle messages.
  • Renaming a tab or contact will now have input field focus on the opened UI.
  • It is now possible to use the Enter key to confirm name changes and other dialogs.
  • The HoF Ticker can now be relocated.
  • The HoF Ticker can now be set as always visible, or only visible when a global/hof is displayed.
  • Thresholds for the HoF Ticker can now be set in the general Options menu, so that only globals over the selected value will be displayed.

Channel adjustments

  • Channel names are no longer case-sensitive
  • Dash(-), underscore(_) are allowed between (alphanumeric) words
  • Help message text for the Create command has been improved
  • The /listchannels command only accepts filter strings that contains underscores, dashes or alphanumeric characters, and is no longer case-sensitive
  • All previously created custom channels have been removed in this patch as a consequence of the above changes.

Bug fixes

  • Tooltips no longer appear for hidden contacts.
  • The Mentor icon in Contacts now has a tooltip.
  • Using “Keep Main Chat focus when entering text” will now correctly clear the input field after sending a message.
  • The action for sending private message through avatar links context menu will no longer be gray when that avatar is in another territory.
  • Events will now show rank properly in message received in Message Center.

Are Arkadia Underground Deeds a good INVESTMENT

I like my CLD and the return they bring (current 20% is not the promised 30% but i still like them)
To anyone wanting to invest in Deeds in general i will make a small comparison and maybe prediction.

Where is the money coming from?
CLD - They give you 25% / 60,000 of global Calypso planet partner profit (which is based on decay and such)
AULD - Give you 5% / 200,000 of Arkadia Underground Loot that people get.

Discussion: No matter where the players of Calypso play and what they do they always generate cash for the CLD revenue stream. AULD benefits from all planets players that are actively engaged on the Underground Area (hunting mining shopping .. i don't know if crafting i don't think crafting is taxed.)

How much can we expect to earn?
CLD pay out and this is tested .. lets say an average of 3.84 ped per deed each week .. (sometimes its more sometimes less ... lets average to 20% ROI) .. that means if you invested 1000 ped in 1 deed after 5 years 5*52*3.84 you will see your cash back.
Now if you would like to buy CLD's now at a price ~1350 per deed they will still pay out 3.84 .. since we can't travel back in time (we should calculate at the current price) if you buy now your ROI is about 14.79% .. you get your ped back in 6 years and 9 months

To make AUG a sound investment:
they would have to pay out the same or better as CLD .. so 3.84 ped for each 1350 ped invested each deed would have to pay out 0.1422 ped (.. for this to happen the Land area would have tax the players 0.1422 * 200,000 = 28,440 ped)
So the total loot paid out would have to be 568,800 PED/week

Of course you can speculate the price of these will go up .. but how high will it rise? I think it depends only on how well they will do with pay outs...

To put things in perspective I got some data from Entropia Life:
http://www.entropialife.com/Planets.aspx?M=view&P=4 this page shows mining and hunting for the whole planet for the last 30 days ... today its 2,266,381 ped to make this into a weekly value 2266381/30*7 = 528,822 PED

528,822 This is for the WHOLE planet of Arkadia and its less than the required 568,800 for the underground to generate...

Of course Entropia Life does not take into account all the loot that is not Global or Hofed .. lets assume it amounts to double the initial value .. Arkadia is 9x bigger than the Underground .. but then the underground offers a FOMA/HELL type mining experience..

The question is will it be enough?
Or is it better to keep investing in CLD?

Please share your opinion .. I haven't made up my mind yet on this subject.

Planet Toulan Release Notes 14.1 March 19th 2014

New Content:

  • Toulan's official soundtrack by international composer Mr.Tareq Al Nasser is now being played across the realms of Toulan.
  • Mr.Tareq has inspired each musical piece to adapt to Toulan's Arabian Sci-Fi theme and to reflect the different atmospheres it is being played on.
  • 8 New hunting missions, with NPCs located at Al-Nahar City and across various outposts.
  • New Items, Materials, Resources and Blueprints, waiting to be discovered.
  • NPC "Uthman" is spreading word at Al-Nahar City about a mysterious flow of Nawa energy being reaped at an ancient temple.
  • New Mob "Sunjoq", with reports of Sunjoq herds migrating into various zones across Toulan.

  • Resolved issues with the landing zone at The Citadel.

Cyrene March 19th 2014 VU Notes

New Additions

Planet Cyrene

- Players who have their gender appropriate version of: Coat of the Proving Grounds have some special things in store for them.
- All Ranked weapons now have a "rare" status and will give notifications when they are found.
- New Marked weapons have been added, which are similar to Ranked weapons however they are Limited.
- Many Cyrene specific crafting items have had their drop rates and mining rates improved.
- During this VU there will be two Event Spawns that happen with rare weapon drops and special clothing used to access upcoming missions for the next VU.

The Hub

- Players who have their gender appropriate version of: Proving Ground Coat of Arms have a very big choice to make.
- New Daily PvP Kill Missions have been added to all token Arenas. Each mission is repeatable and awards varying amounts of Daily PvP Mission Tokens that will be used to purchase different items that will be added in the Mini Patch.

Changes

Planet Cyrene

- Much of the procedural ground cover has been removed or reduced in all areas on Cyrene to help increase frame rate. Several areas have been greatly improved such as:
- Garvers
- Base Camp Gamma
- Zeladoth Forest near Aerial Base Outskirts.
-Many bodies of water in the Turrelion Area have had their depth increased.
- Many Cyrene specific items will have increased drop rates (please allow time for drop rates to be adjusted)
- Cyrene Specific Ores
- Cyrene Specific Enmatters
- Cyrene Specific crafting components

The Hub

- The Proving Grounds has undergone changes to further differentiate each section, as well as opened up the lower area again. Steps have also been taken to improve frame rates in the Proving Grounds.
- Many of the gaps and holes players would fall though in the Proving Grounds have been fixed.
- The Reward Token (Lime Green) item spawn areas in the Proving Ground have been adjusted to make sure all tokens spawn where players can reach them.

The Hub and skill override: Currently the skill override in the Hub IS working, however, you must wait to equip or re-equip your weapon after paying your fee to make sure that your weapon is working as it should. Also, the Item Info window does NOT show the new stats and fire rate of the weapon. We are working with MindArk to make sure everything is working correctly.

Future Planned Changes

Many of the Imperium and Zyn'Kimbro Token vendors are STILL not active, we wanted to get these token vendors activated but it looks as though it will not be possible for this VU. To make sure it's possible for the next VU we will need to change the TT value of both of these tokens. Similar to how we changed the Imperium Key Cubes.

We wanted to give ample time for players with these token currencies to make sure that for the next VU (not the March VU). By doing this, we will be able to not only open all the token vendors, but offer better items as well. We will also have to adjust some of the token earning missions to be in line with the new TT value but it will be worth it.

Participants of Entropia Universe are being given an opportunity to acquire Arkadia Underground Deeds at a fixed listing value of 50 PED per deed.

A total of 200,000 deeds are being made available which equals 100% of the Land Area. The area will be managed by Arkadia Studios and a new subforum for Arkadia Underground discussions will be created at Planet Arkadia Forum.

Starting today, batches of deeds will be released via the Arkadian Auction.
Included with the patch due next week, a broker will be located at the Arkadian Underground teleporter that will sell individual deeds allowing participants to purchase the exact number they want.

Tax revenue from the Land Area 'Arkadia Underground' will be distributed automatically to deed holders on a weekly basis via the PED flow centre. The Arkadia Underground will have a fixed tax percentage of 5%.

Arkadia Underground offers something for everyone, new unique mobs (Navi, Wombana and Togolossi), 64 sq km's of caverns to explore, hunt and mine. Mining in Arkadia Underground utilizes the Indoor mining logic as previously experienced by participants on Calypso’s FOMA and Rocktropia’s HELL areas. Vehicles are also usable throughout the Underground area.

Entrances to mysterious Ancient Arkadian Vaults are also located throughout this new area.

Arkadia Underground is here! Access is via the TP network on Arkadia, select "Arkadia Underground" from the drop down list at any Arkadia surface teleporter.
Arkadia Underground Deeds will be available from the Arkadian auction and from a broker next to the main Arkadia Underground teleporter (after the patch next week).

Oratan Red alert event system improvements

Social Interface
Social User Interface has been redone and have added features.

Main Chat
All text communication originates from chat channels. The default chat channels are: Local, Trade, System, Globals, Rookie, Society, Society Seniors & Private Messages.

Custom channels can also be created using the /create command (see below). By default, custom channels are private; the creator of the channel can then invite other members to the channel.
Alternatively, custom channels can be made public using the /set command (see below), which allows other participants to /join a public custom channel.

The communications from channels are displayed in chat tabs. There are two default tabs, Main and System, which cannot be removed from the main chat window and have some restrictions on channel management. Custom chat tabs can be created by right-clicking on an existing chat tab and clicking the ‘New Tab’ option. The right-click context menu also offers other tab customization options, such as setting the fade, color and channel settings of a tab. A chat window can have a maximum of 10 chat tabs. Additional chat windows can be created by dragging a custom chat tab’s header outside of the main chat window. Detached custom tabs can then be grouped together in a new chat window.

Other Features

  • New messages in unfocused chat tabs display an indicator when the tab contains unviewed messages.
  • Links, avatar names, channels and items can be copied to the clipboard via the right-click context menu.
  • All links have a set of options accessible through the right-click context menu.
  • You now have a permanent ignore list. Use the right-click context menu or the /ignore command to ignore a player. View your ignore list with the /ignorelist command.
  • The TAB key can be used to auto-complete avatar names in commands.
  • The TAB key can be used to switch channels when the input field for a chat tab is in focus.
  • A voice quick bar is available for options, mute and mic.

Miscellaneous Commands

/emote (or /em) - Perform the specified emote. use /emote ? for the available emotes.
/help (or /?) - View help on a specific command. If a command name is not specified, a list of available commands is displayed.
/pos (or /p) - Create a position link with your current coordinates in the text input field.

Message Center
A new message center that will handle all message types has been added with the following functions:

You have 5 different message types that you can filter; Auction, Notes, Messages, System and Global
The filter button displays how many new unread messages you have.
The messages have an indicator if they have been read or not.
The Message Center can be minimized for your convenience. New messages will show with and indicator and flash on any new activity.
You can now send offline messages via the create new message button, a new Conversation UI will open where you can also add multiple recipients up to a maximum of 10.
You can now create Notes that are can be placed, resized and colored anywhere on the dashboard that are saved until deleted.
You can drag most messages for edit or reading from message center to dashboard.
Message Center can be moved and resized in height.

Contacts
A new Contacts UI has been added where you find information about friends, society and nearby avatars. There is also a Player Profile connected to this.

You can set your online status through a selector; Online, Invisible, Do Not Disturb, Away from Keyboard
There is a filter panel with several options:

SearchFilter - Applicants, Disciple, Society, Team, Friends, Nearby

Context flags show icons on listed avatars to show your connection to them.
Player Registry is where you can search for avatars in Entropia. A new button has been added, “Copy Avatar Link”.
You can list avatars via filter panel. Search will work on selected filter settings. Nearby lists all avatars in radar radius.
A player profile has been added and can be accessed through context menu on the avatar profile picture. In the player profile you can set biography, set displayed name and chose profile picture.
Avatars in contact list can be expanded for more detailed information about Location, Profession, Biography, Mentor Status, Society. You can also access private chat, Send message and all other options through context menu on the player profile picture.
Contacts UI can be moved and resized in height.

We want your feedback to further enhance and improve this Social User Interface. Please post on your planet partner forum.
Note: We know that the nearby function will change how the PvP works and we are working on some changes for that as well as other things when it comes to PvP in general.

As previously announced we are experiencing issues with the gold card authentication. We understand from the gold card technology partner company that the issue will be solved today. We apologize for any inconvenience.

MindArk and the Planet Partners strive to ensure a smooth and problem-free Version Update. Nevertheless, even after extensive testing some issues may arise after release. Such issues are often addressed via mini-patches directly after a release and in subsequent patches. If you feel that the possibility of encountering minor issues or bugs directly after a Version Update affects your gameplay to an extent that Entropia Universe is not enjoyable, please wait until the mini-patches have been released and any last minute issues have been resolved.

Unconfirmed UFO Sightings in ROCKtropia

Many unconfirmed rumors have been circulating of UFO sightings in the vicinity of the Empire State Building and even Alien abductions.

This doctored photo recently surfaced on the internet, depicting an Alien autopsy taking place at the Zomhattan Research Facility.


Please do not come to ROCKtropia in search of Aliens. We have more than enough problems as it is!

A New Research Facility has been established on the outskirts of Zomhattan. Doctors or anyone with Med School background are encouraged to volunteer to assist in ROCKtropia’s efforts to find a cure for the Zombie Virus.


NEVERDIE is requesting that the die hard ROCKtropia loyalists be ready to defend the facility in the event of overwhelming Zombie Wave Attacks!.

MECHs not possible

Our policy is to not talk about certain private development issues. That said it seems that this is ok seeing as an official MA member has spoken on it.

Yes indeed Mechs have been put behind some other systems but this was at our request. There are older systems that we feel should come out before ours as we do not feel ours should take preference over classic systems such as taming and other that are now fixed and out.

We proposed our system before our soft launch and after a while it seems that it was not possible with current setup of vehicles. As for possible workaround solutions, we did and still are indeed exploring other options including

Using an armor set up that hides the character, though this limited our functionality.

Using mechs with no legs, and we have these ready to go but we are not allowed to just release new vehicles without a specific purpose in mind into the economy of EU. And since this would have no special feature to them other than look, it would not fly (pun intended).

Making the mechs Hub specific, so that they do not need to follow the rest of EU balance rules, and this seems to be the road we may take seeing as there seems to be a longer wait. Of course this would be for a Hard Launch Release along with other details and Ideas we have for these legless Mech vehicles.

Also, Mechs as Mobs are indeed possible, and we have one already known as the Centurion, and the Fenris. Both are powered by a person inside (you can see for yourself if you are next to Zorra and her Fenris).

The Mob control is very new to us and we found out at same time as you. We had explored this option in the past as as well with another team at MA, but they were not the team that had final say, that said it will be interesting how this can be used and implmented.

Thing is I did not know what Kim was up too exactly. I don't follow the other Planets much with my schedule being very tight as it is. Back when we proposed the system Kim was in fact working with the team we proposed the system too, which explains his insight into the issue. If he is now strictly with Calypso than I see no reason not to believe him and my statement was just lacking information is all on his current position. That said, if he sees it fit to talk about such things, we see no reason not to as well. We try and have as much appropriate information available, yet reserve the right to keep things private when needed under various circumstances.

You hit the nail on the head George and as usual you seem to have a good head for these things. We have indeed looked at "Traditional Mechs" that land but move with flight. An old example would be the arcade game Virtual On by Sega I belive. There are many others of course but its not out of the realm of possibilities for now.

Planet Cyrene March VU Preview

Hey guys!
Once again back to talk about many of the upcoming changes happening in the next VU for Planet Cyrene. For this VU we decided to work towards getting many of the bugs resolved as well as improving FPS overall on the planet, while still adding some new content.

The first thing I'd like to mention are the Proving Ground Coat of Arms and the Coat of the Proving Grounds. While they are time consuming and hard to obtain the rewards are special and tailored for players who are fully invested in Planet Cyrene. Since we already had one of these coats unlocked the options for them are now in place for both PvP and PvE with more to come in the Mini Patch.


Now, I know that everyone loves the Ranked weapons we have on Planet Cyrene, although they are a bit more...rare. To alleviate this item gap, we'll be introducing Marked weapons, similar to Ranked weapons except they will be Limited. We're also tagging all Ranked items as rare discoveries to really show how special they are.


We'll also be addressing the problem with the blueprint recipes, but, before we revamp what components are used we will instead work on making sure the right amount of crafting materials are dropping correctly. Currently many items are difficult to craft due to the fact that it is very difficult to collect enough of * insert crafting component * to do multiple clicks that many crafters favor. It is our hope that this change helps get crafting off the ground and more available here on Cyrene. This also goes double for mining finds as well, we will be making sure that Cyrene specific minerals are more prevalent.

Many of the areas that people pointed out to us that gave them unnecessaryamounts of lag have been improved, the main areas are:


  • Garvers / Empis Wasp location
  • A.R.C.` Camp Gamma / Ultimate n00b Challenge location
  • Zeladoth Forest / Aerial Base Outskirts location


As well as reduced and/or removed procedural vegetation on Planet Cyrene as a whole to help improve overall playability.

The Proving Grounds have also undergone the same FPS improvements as well as cosmetic enhancements to feel more cohesive. The Reward Token (Lime Green) spawns have been adjusted to make sure no tokens are falling through the cracks. The gaps in the fence that players could jump over are also now blocked. The basement of the Proving Grounds is now reopened again.

There are many upcoming changes planned for Planet Cyrene as well.

Many of the Imperium and Zyn'Kimbro Token vendors are STILL not active, we wanted to get these token vendors activated but it looks as though it will not be possible for this VU. To make sure it's possible for the next VU we will need to change the TT value of both of these tokens. Similar to how we changed the Imperium Key Cubes.

We wanted to give ample time for players with these token currencies to make sure that for the next VU (not the March VU). By doing this, we will be able to not only open all the token vendors, but offer better items as well. We will also have to adjust some of the token earning missions to be in line with the new TT value but it will be worth it.

There are more things happening in this VU as well, new missions, new items, new event spawns and more! I hope this gives everyone a good preview as to what will be happening on Planet Cyrene in this coming VU. We'll hope to see you on Planet Cyrene after the next VU.

Social Interface Preview

The promise and they deliver:

Over the last several months, MindArk’s design and development teams have put lots of effort into developing a new unified social interface to improve the communication and social features of Entropia Universe. Some of the top features the new social interface offers include offline messaging, item linking, and custom chat channels.

See below for an overview of the new social interface features that will be implemented in the forthcoming partner release, scheduled for Tuesday, March 18. (Please note that this is a quick overview of the new social interface and does not cover all of the new features and functionality that are planned to be released, or that will be added in future releases).

Message Center
The new Message Center component is where all of your messages and conversations with other avatars are stored, as well as various system messages. The filter buttons along the top of the Message Center allow you to control the types of message displayed in the main content section. The Message Center can be collapsed to edge of the screen at anytime, and will display a small counter to indicate the number of unview items.

Conversations
The new mail interface is accessible from the Message Center. In it you will be able to send messages to multiple recipients as well as to offline avatars. Like many popular modern mail interfaces, it will also display longer message exchanges in a single conversation thread.

Contacts
The Friends List is now known as Contacts and includes all of the former functionality as well as several exciting new features. For example, you can now set your availability status, such as available, busy, or do not disturb. You can also add a note with information about yourself that other avatars can see, and view more detailed information about avatars in your Contacts list. Like the Message Center, the Contacts module can be minimized to the edge of the screen.

Chat
The chat interface has been entirely reworked, with many new features added. The chat module now supports multiple tabs and the ability to create private or public custom chat channels. You can also configure each custom chat tab to only display the information you wish to see in that tab, such as society chat, global messages, system messages, private chat conversations and more. The chat interface now also supports linking of items in messages to other avatars.

All chat tabs can either be docked in the main Chat module, or dragged out individually and placed anywhere on the screen.

Finally, a new default Rookie channel has been implemented which will serve as a place where new arrivals to Entropia Universe can seek help and advice from more experienced participants.

HOF Ticker
Located above the Chat module, the new HOF ticker scrolls through the latest large loots, Hall of Fame and Discovery messages. The same information is also available in the Message Center if you wish to take a closer look at recent events that appear here.

Lemmys’ Army Back from Hell!

A Volcanic Eruption originating in the Depths of Hell, has created a new Volcano and opened a Portal for Hellspawn to pass through. Rumors are swirling of Motorhead Security rebuilding Lemmy’s Castle Brick by Brick and a also Stadium to house the Private Beer Garden of the Motorhead Royalty

legions of Vampires have been spotted too, it is suspected they may be trying to rebuild their cathedral, but at this point it is uncertain where that might be.


Some of Lemmy’s Warparty may have had their Beer Spiked with Bath Salts, they are raging for blood, we must subdue them this weekend…

ROCKtropia wants nothing more than return of the Metal GOD, but we must keep the Planet in balance as best we can..
